BROWNING WATERCOOLED MACHINE GUN. Cal. 30 (30-06). S# 300077. Bbl. 24". Hooded blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2700yds. Iconic Browning 1917A1 water cooled machine gun made by Group Industries using an original USGI Rock Island Arsenal right sideplate & other USGI parts. Bottom right ridge of receiver has Group Industries marking. NFA registry lists Group Industries as mfr. Blued finish. Water jacket has brass endcap & trunnion. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: tripod with head, spare bbl. with cover, canvas gun cover, white cloth 250 rd. belt, water hose, water can & wooden ammo can. CONDITION: hardwood carry handle & grip panels have a darkened appearance with some small cracks, chips, dings & handling marks. Brass parts are a dull yellow patina with some tarnishing & dings. Balance of metal retains 95% blue with some pitting & fading to gray on grip assembly, further scattered edge wear & light oxidation. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
